Nordic Perched Cardinal

This is Nordic Perched Cardinal.

All of the stamps and dies I am using today are by Poppy Stamps. I recently came across the leaf that I have used above, and loved it so much I thought I would look at other pieces from the set.

The Nordic Holly Sprig is my favourite piece from the ones that I order. I love look, and to be able to use three different colours on one leaf blew me away! lol

I die cut the berries coloured them with a red marker and added them to the sprig of greens. At the top I added a bow, and at the bottom I added a bird.

All of the items attached to the card are done using foam squares. The background I did using Spellbinders Evergreen embossing folder.

To colour the embossing folder piece I used Pinkfresh Ink in Grassy Knoll giving the background a lighter shade of the green.

I considered using a few gems on the card front, but then thought better of it as I think it would detract from my overall design.

I used a Copic marker in pink to colour the inside of the bow along with the bird's wing, and used yellow for the birds beek and eye.

Inside the card I glued in the Merry Christmas sentiment and added a piece of the green embossing folder design.
