Meet "Autumn Flowers".
I painted this card for this week's Watercolour Challenge at Splitcoaststampers.com. The artist named the painting "Autumn Flowers" but I know them as Chinese Lantern Flowers.
I changed my drawing a bit to accomodate the drawing I did, making it a cleaner verstion of the one the artist painted.
My colours are Daniel Smith watercolours in Pyrrol Orange, Sap Green leaves with yellow veins, and Payne's Grey.
I added a darker orange to the flowers representing texture on the flowers. My card was still wet when I took the picture as you might notice. I can see some of the wet areas on the painting.
Thank you for joining me today. I hope you have enjoyed this painting from today's Watercolour Challenge.
