This is "Bird on Branch".
Yet again, another die I never used but have had for a very long time! It is by Paper Rose and called Cockatoo on Branch.
First up the background is from my stash where I used brushos for the colour and a stencil on watercolour paper. To finish it nicely I die cut the piece once dry using a stitched rectangle die.
For the bird, I die cut 3 pieces from black cardstock and glued them together to form the bird taking care with the gluing process, then added a pearl for his eye.
I then attached the background to a Gina K Design red card base using art glitter glue which I flattened. It is so annoying if I get the lines left by glue showing through, but that is not likely using watercolour card.
Using my Misti I stamped the sentiments from Penny Black's "Strength" sentiments using VersaFine Clair ink in Nocturne.
For the inside of my card I photocopied the piece from the cover, but lightened it before printing using my printer settings and gave it a somewhat blurry look.
I then stamped the sentiment, also from the Penny Black "Strength" set.
Thanks for stopping by today. I do hope you enjoy this card.
See you next time.
