Meet "Sense of Wonder".
This is the first time that I have used rub on transfers. I cannot believe in all the years I have been making cards, I have never used them before today.
Using Hammermill cardstock and a brayer I rolled on distress ink in Picked Raspberry, then Worn Lipstick over the Picked Raspberry. It tones down the Picked Raspberry leaving this colour that I really like.
Using Tim Holtz Stamps and Stencil THMM144 I added the stenciling to the card front using Worn Lipstick.
From the 49 and Market Color Swatch Charcoal I cut out the transfers that I wanted to use and proceeded to apply them to my card front. Once I had them in place I ran them through my Empress Elite machine, which only holds them in place.
I then removed the backing and placed them in postition to run through my machine again, which bonds them to the card front. All that because I am too lazy to manually do it!
From the Tim Holtz stamp set I stamped the sentiment on coordinating card that I made using the same inks as in the background and attached it using foam strips.
I then glued in place the butterfly with I stamped and fussy cut from the Tim Holtz stamp and stencil collection.
I then finished the inside, again using the same inking technique along with a few more of the transfers along with the stamped sentiment and one of the Tim Holtz rubber stamp butterflies.
Thank you for joining me today. I do hope you enjoyed this card. It was a lot of fun to do something which is very different for me.
See you next time.
