My Friend

This is "My Friend". 

As you already know, I absolutely love these mini stamp and dies sets. This set is by Altenew and called Mini Carved Rose.

This set has been discontinued by Altenew, but I have never used it. I seem to have a lot of stamp sets that I have not used!!

So, I wanted to change that and do this card. Using a Recollections card base in pale pink I attached a piece of Hammermill card and proceeded to stencil the brick wall.

For the bricks I used a light hand of Antique Linen distress ink to apply the ink. I then stamped the rose using Pinkfresh Ink in Berrylicious, spritzing first with water before stamping.

I did the same for the leaves using Pinkfresh Ink in Aquamarine, again spritizing with water before stamping the images.

Using the coordinating dies I cut out the rose and the leaves. I did not like the white left on the leaves as it looked funny with where I wanted them placed so I fussy cut the leaves.

I applied the rose and leaves using foam squares, then stamped the sentiments which are included in the set. There is another sentiment which says "my love".

I stamped the sentiment using VersaFine Clair ink in Nocturne. Yes, I am missing something for the inside of my card, so I am going to check out what I have and find a rose flower I hope!
