This is "Rise Up".
You all know how cardmakers feel when they mess up a card, but I messed up much bigger than that, and it is not the first time.
This stamp set is from Gina K Designs and is one I did not know I had! Yep, it is a larger stamp set, so it was not in the "normal place", instead it was tucked away in another spot and for years I have left it there.
Then this weekend I started going through my stamps to clean out and make some room, and low and behold I find this. I also have the coordinating dies, which makes me feel even worse!
So, I will be using it, even though it has been discontinued by Gina K. Designs. The name of the set is "Beautiful Wings", and it really is a beautiful set.
I decided I wanted to do some watercolouring, so I stamped the images on a white watercolour card that I die cut using Penny Black's Antique Frame along with Be Creative ink in white, then heat embossed using white embossing powder.
I just noticed that this image is out of focus a bit, but as I am almost done I will leave it as is. Talk about lazy eh! I watercoloured the background using Daniel Smith Manganese Blue, adding several layers of watercolour.
Once dry I added white watercolour splatters to finish the card front and attached it to a Gina K Designs Blue Raspberry cardbase using foam tape.
On the inside I die cut a smaller piece using Penny Black's Antique Frame die and stamped a few more dragonflies using VersaFine Clair ink in Paradise. I also added splatters using the Manganese Blue watercolour.
Thank you for visiting with me today. I do hope you enjoyed this card, despite it being from an older set.
See you next time.
