Meet "Chickadee".
I was playing with my bird Kiwi this monring and he was making me laugh with his antics. Too cute for words, but I decided I wanted to paint a bird for today's card.
I looked at many birds and ended up picking the Chickadee to paint. They are such cute birds and fun to paint. I am using my Daniel Smith watercolours for this card today, along with Arches cold press watercolour paper.
I have also used Gina K Designs Blue Raspberry cardstock along with Grass Green cardstock.
I applied the watercolour to my dampened piece of Arches watercolour paper and dropped the colours in allowing them to blend and softening the edges as I went.
I also added in some little leaves and branches to the design for some interest.
The embossed background is by Spellbinders and called Flowers and Foliage. It is such a beautiful embossing folder and I have used it many times.
I also embossed a piece for the inside of my card which I attached the piece of Grass Green cardstock too.
I am finishing the card using a sentiment from Pinkfresh Delicate Rosebuds stamp and die set. The set also has the coordinating stencils and hot foil plate.
I very much enjoyed painting this birdie today and hope you enjoy him as well. Thanks for spending some time with me today.
