Loopy Flower

This is "Loopy Flower".

Yes, that is the real name of the stencil! As this is loopy I decided on a loopy colour application too, using distress oxide ink colours.

The distress oxide colours I used are Squeezed Lemonade in the flower centre, Picked Raspberry, Spiced Marmalade, Candied Apple, Carved Pumpkin, Mustard Seed and Abandoned Coral.

For the sentiments I used Honey Bee stamps and dies "My Favorite Flowers", stamping in VersaFine Clair ink Nocturne.

Initially I was going to stop the colour at the edge of the flower, but then I went over by accident and decided I liked the look, so I continued the happy accident application.

The stencil is by A Colorful Life Designs, and is one of my many favourites from Mary Kay. Her stencils are so fun to work with.

I attached the sentiment using foam rounds on the outside and Art Glitter glue for the inside sentiment stamped on Neenah cardstock.

I do not have cardstock that is 12x12, so when I make a large 6x6 card like this I use Strathmore Bristol Smooth and cut it down, which I also used on the inside of this card.

The Bristol is cut to 5.5 for the inside. I did consider a matting, but then changed my mind, the cover did not have matting and there was plenty of colour on the inside as it is.

I finished up with some Ombre Glitter Drops in Pixie Dust.

A fun card to do, which I hope you have enjoyed.

Thank you for visiting with me today.

See you next time.
