Life in Bloom

Meet "Life in Bloom".

For this card I am using Lovely Layers Coneflower by Honey Bee along with Bitty Buzzwords Bloom and the coordinating dies and Lawn Fawn's Scalloped Rectangles.

I am using Neenah 110lb cardstock for my card, along with Gina K Design black onyx card for matting, and Hammermill card for the scalloped frame.

On the Hammermill paper I first applied an oval shaped layer of Tumbled Glass oxide ink. I continued to add to the ink, finishing after 4 layers of the ink, which in turn gave a darker colour as I went.

To colour the flowers I used Copic markers in YR14, YR15, YR18 and YR09. For the leaves I used YG09 and the cones are E99.

I stamped the sentiments using VersaFine Clair ink in Summertime and added foam strips to the back to give the sentiments dimension.

To put the card together I attached the black onyx card to my Neenah cardbase. I then attached the Hammermill Scalloped piece, and finally the flowers, which are attached using foam rounds.

I did style the leaves before attaching as I wanted them to look "fuller" than a flat appearance would give. I finished by attaching the sentiments, which I had attached foam strips to.

On the inside of the card I layered the same way including the ink, and added the sentiment from the Bitty Buzzwords stamp set.

This finishes my card for today, which I hope you have enjoyed. I am presently doing some stitching cards which I will share with you over the next few days.

See you next time.
