Candle Birthday

This is "Candle Birthday".

I made this card for today's Inspiration Challenge at Splitcoaststampers.com., where we are visiting a UK site called Whitefish, which is a greeting card company.

My inspiration for this card came from this card. For my card I changed up the colours and finished the inside of the card as well.

I kept it as a Birthday card, as I am in need of a few. For my candles I used left over designer papers I had in my stash cutting each of them "1/8th'' x 3.5''.

I first taped off the white cardstock on both the outside and inside pieces and applied Speckled Egg distress oxide ink inside the square.

For the flame I coloured with Copic markers, then added in the flame using a gold shimmer pen and added a bit of extra shimmer with a Nuvo Shimmer pen.

In my mini Misti I stamped the sentiment by Hero Arts using VersaFine Clair ink in Warm Breeze and applied ink to the sides, allowing the ink to sink in.

For the inside of the card, I taped off the shaded square and applied the Speckled Egg distress oxide ink. I then added the three (3) candles, finishing as I did previously.

Again, using VersaFine Clair ink in Warm Breeze I stamped the sentiment and glued in place the candles.

I really enjoyed making this card, and I hope you have enjoyed it as well.

Thanks so much for visiting.

See you next time.
