Tree Day

This is "Tree Day".

I do remember the days when I once went and fetched a live tree with a friend, and we loaded it on my trailer and many times did not tie it down. Until the day it flew off and we had to go through a nightmare to fetch it back! Soon after I switched to fake trees.
That is what I thought of as I looked at this stamp set by Stampers Anonymous called Holiday Sketchbook. I decided I would colour the image using Tombow markers and spritz lightly with water before stamping on Neenah cardstock.

I started with his clothes using two colours of Tombow 451 Sky Blue along with 535 Cobalt Blue. For the tree I used 296 Green and 249 Hunter Green.
For my card base I added a cut piece of Neenah card at 4.0x5.25. I then stenciled on the Neenah piece using A Colorful Life Design stencil called Prim Snowflake using Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide and Speckled Egg Distress Oxide inks.

With the stencil I made sure that I stayed on the top layer of cardstock.
I then die cut from Silver Glitter cardstock the larger circle die using Pink and Main Stitched Circle dies. I die cut the image using another of the dies from the same set.

I glued the two circle pieces together using Art Glitter glue then attached them to the card front using foam tape.
In finishing I added a few Pinkfresh Gems in Starry Sky to the card.

This was a fun card to make and I do hope you enjoyed it as well. Thank you for visiting today.

See you next time.
