Brilliant Berries

A beautiful stamp by Penny Black full of lucious berries. After water colouring this I now want some fresh berries!
It has been a very long time since I have used my Kuretake Zig Clean Color pens, so I decided I would use them for this Christmas card, which I painted with an abstract look on Arches cold press 140lb card.

My colours are 022 Carmine Red, 024 Wine Red, 023 Scarlett Red, 062 Dark Brown, 041 Light Green, 044 Deep Green, 040 Green and 042 Turquoise Green.
With the colouring complete and dry I then die cut the piece using Penny Black's Elegant Stitching rectangle dies.

For some sparkle I added Nuvo Aqua Shimmer in Midas Touch allowing it to hit the painted areas which then added the bleeding look to my card, which I love!
To the background I added red splatters using the Wine ink colour, which I put down on my glass mat and picked up with a paint brush.

I glued the Arches card to matting in Black Onyx with a Cherry Red card base. For the inside I also used the Black Onyx card along with a piece of Neenah cardstock for the sentiment.
Once all was dry I then stamped my sentiment using VersaFine Clair ink in Nocturne and to finish up this card I added Pinkfresh Glitter Drops in Leaf Green.

Thanks so much for joining me today. I hope you have enjoyed this card as much as I enjoyed making it. No doubt I will be using this stamp to make another Christmas card.

See you next time.
