Sending Big Hugs

This is "Sending Big Hugs".

We are celebrating all week long over at Splitcoaststampers.com with Dare to Get Dirty. A week full of fun challenges put on by the Dirty Girl Alumni.
For this card I started by using a piece of Hammermill 100lb cardstock cut slightly smaller than my cardbase, which is 3.5x6".

Using distress oxide inks I blended the panel starting with Faded Jeans, Broken China, Cracked Pistachio and finishing with Lucky Clover.
Once I completed the background I attached the piece to my cardbase using Art Glitter glue. I then die cut two of the sentiment pieces from Spellbinders Pop up die cutting glitter foam sheets.

Rather than die cutting a bunch of pieces of cardstock I opted to use two cut pieces of the glitter foam and glued them together to create the depth I wanted on the front of the card.
In my original Misti I stamped the pieces I wanted to use from Lawn Fawn's Happy Hugs stamp and die set and coloured them with copic markers.

For the mice I used C1, C3 and R20; for the fox I used E59, E57 and E55; for the birds I used Y06, Y08 and B01 and B12.
I then glued the critters in place to finish my card.

Another fun card to make, and I hope you enjoy it as well. Thank you for your visit.

See you next time.
