Watercolour Easter

Let me introduce "Watercolour Easter".

This watercolour card I did for Watercolour Wednesday at Splitcoaststampers.com.  I am hosting the challenge for today, and have picked a video by one of our regular Artists, Emma Jane Lefebvre, picking her Simple Watercolour Easter cards.

Emma has two cards which she did for this video. I picked the Easter Egg for my card, and will do the bunny ears later in the month to send out for Easter. That is why I picked this challenge to do early, so we could have time.
The colours I picked are from my Daniel Smith Ultimate Mixing set, being Quinacridone Pink, Hansa Yellow Med., and from my set of green colours I picked Serpentine Green. I am also using Fabriano Hot Press watercolour paper.

Some of my flowers are darker than others, and I say, "Oh well", that is what I get for not doing a practice first.
I could still see the pencil mark from where I drew the egg, so I decided to go over it with the Hansa Yellow medium, which I think looks good.

To finish up I attached my watercolour to a Taylored Expressions cardstock called Cupcake. I then stenciled on the greeting, (which is a sneak peek for A Colorful Life Design March release tomorrow) using Memento Ink in Bamboo Leaves.

Thank you for joining me today. Following are Affiliate links for the products that I have used for this card, at no extra cost to you.
