Jolly Santa

This is "Jolly Santa".

After I made the shaker card using this Santa die cut yesterday, I started playing around with this die again. I had previously seen a card made with the layers, so I wanted to give it a go.
However, I was not into using different colours of cardstock, I would rather colour with my Copic markers given you only see a tiny bit of the colour. So that is what I did.

I started with a silver background attached to my Neenah cardbase. I then die cut a piece of black glitter cardstock, and started adding the cardstock as I went up. My Copic colours are YR24, RV02, RV13 and R27.
For the final layer I used Spellbinders Pop Up Die Cutting Foam Sheets. These sheets do not expand when being die cut, you get the exact size of the die, which is a game changer for me. Spellbinders also makes these sheets in glitter, which I have linked to below.

For the Santa Hat I did not add as many layers, skipping the red, as the hat is red. I did use the foam sheet for the hat, which I coloured with the R27 Copic. I then added another layer of the foam for the trim and pom pom.
I then die cut the sentiment using red glitter cardstock and Neenah white cardstock, and glued down, then added a few gems around the Santa belly.

I am using a new to me glue on this card and it too is a game changer for me. It dries quickly, but you have enough time for adjustments, and the tip that you can add to the unit of glue is amazing. Yes, I thought it was expensive at first, but when I worked it all out, it came in at the same amount, and that is because I use a lot less of it due to the fine tip, and it makes attaching gems a joy!
Well, that pretty well wraps this card up. It is really cute, and I acutally prefer it over the shaker card. But the shaker card is why I bought the die! hmmm

Thanks so much for stopping by today. I hope you have enjoyed this card as much as I enjoyed making it. Following are Affiliate links for the products I have used for this card, at no extra expense to you.
