Introducing "Free to Fly".
You all know I love birds, so when this stamp set came in the mail from Scrapbook.com I was thrilled. It is a freebie and designed for Scrapbook.com by Art Impressions. And, it is all things "Birds".
When I am shopping in Canada I shop at Scrap'n Stamp in Vancouver, British Columbia. I am able to get most everything I want from SNS.
Alas, sometimes I have to go to the States to purchase, and my go to is Scrapbook.com. I love that they do not sell at the suggested price, they discount straight away. Over a year, that saves a lot of money. They also have freebies that you can pick, which is how I got this stamp, which I appreciate.
To start I stamped using Memento Ink in Tuxedo Black ink as I am using Copic markers to colour. And yes, I used a lot of different colours.
For the bird house I used YR21, YR31, YG45, BG18, BG75, E31, E43, E97, E99, E15 and E17; Flowers are YR14, YR18, YR68 and Y15; Leaves are YG07, YG09; Birds B02 and RV04; and for the shadow around the scene I used B00.
For the background I used the Sizzix Botonical embossing folder and my brushes to apply Tumbled Glasss Distress Oxide ink.
I then attached the panel using foam tape and added a few embellishments, along with the sentiment from the Tim Holtz stickers "Thoughts".
This has me smiling and I hope it has you smiling as well.
