Celebrations

Meet "Celebrations".

The month of June in my world seems to be all about Celebrating! This is my birth month, and there is Father's Day too, plus I have other birthday's in the month of June.
So, in keeping with the "Celebrations" I have made this card for the Scrap'n Stamp Random Act of Cardness events.

And, I am also keeping with the Scrap'n Stamp theme for June, "For the Boys", again using the fabulous embossing folder called "Mechanics".
For this card I am using Glossy cardstock along with Neenah card and Gina K. Design card for my base. I am also using alcohol pearl inks in Tranquil and Sublime, along with Silver mixative and felt pads.

I applied drops of the ink colours to my felt pad then added the colour to my glossy card, which I had cut down to 5.25 x 4. I continued adding colour until I built up enough layers and was happy with the look.
To add depth and interest to the card I added in colour using Ranger Archival ink in Cobalt, along with some Distress ink in Black Soot. I just love the look of this.

I then inked up the embossing folder using distress ink in Rustic Wilderness and placing a piece of Neenah cardstock on the inked folder, rubbing the back of the card to ensure a good transfer.
It was time to put the card together, attaching the front panel using foam tape to the Gina K. Design card base. I also glued in place the inside piece.

Using blue mirror cardstock I die cut the sentiment word, along with two (2) pieces from Neenah white. I coloured the white using my Copic marker, as I do not like white edges!

I also cut the shadow from Vellum cardstock. Using vellum tape I attached the shadow to the card front, then using Nuvo adhesive attached the sentiment in place to finish my card.

Following I have attached Affiliate links for the products I have used for this card, at no extra cost to you. I thank you for your continued support.
