Bloom and Grow

Meet "Bloom and Grow".

When I started this card I did not have a plan, so it did its own thing! The one thing I knew was that I wanted to use this colour combination, which is Cracked Pistachio, Peacock Feathers and Kitsch Flamingo, which blend beautifully.
I applied this colour combination to the front of my card base. On a separate piece of cardstock and using the coordinating stencil, I again applied the same colour combination for the inside of my card.

Continuing with the card front I die cut the floral plate using Neenah cardstock. I did not want the piece to cover the entire front of the card, so I trimmed off the frame, leaving the flowers and leaves.

To attach the die cut I applied foam squares to the back of each of the flowers, then attached the piece to my card base.

In my mini Misti I stamped the sentiments, "bloom" using the Cracked Pistachio, and the "grow", using Kitsch Flamingos,  then die cut using the coordinating dies. The "&" I die cut from a set by Concord and 9th which I glued on the flower with Nuvo adhesive.
While stamping the sentiments I also stamped the floral image and coloured it with Copics before die cutting. I did not like the white rim however, so I cut it off as well.

The Copic colours I used are BG32, BG23, BG57 and BG78.
To finish the card I applied Nuvo Crystal Drops in Morning Dew to each of the flower centres that remained showing.

It is a fussy looking card, but I must say I like it a lot. I will wait patiently for the dew drops to dry, then send this card on its way to a new home.

Thank you for joining me today. I hope you enjoyed the making of this card as well. Following are Affiliate links for the products I used for this card, at no extra expense to you.
