This card is done for Watercolour Wednesday at Splitcoaststampers.com. Angela is our hostess today and she has picked this video.
As most of you know I love abstract watercolour art hence I was all in with the style of Lydia's painting. I used Schmincke and Daniel Smith watercolours for my piece along with Arches cold press watercolour paper.
I first added water to my taped off area, then dropped in the colours starting first with the flower, then adding the backgrounds to the flower and leaves.
Once I finished with the painting I removed the tape. I do not have the tape Lydia used, instead I use ProTapes for my watercolour projects which has worked very well for me.
This painting is quick and very easy to do, and t is fun too! The perfect kind of challenge for the summer months.
