Happy Birthday

This is "Happy Birthday".

I love this stencil from A Colorful Life Designs called Papel Picado Happy Birthday. Not only a fun stencil, but a fun name.
To colour this stencil I decided I would use two colours of distress oxide inks, being Fossilized Amber and Salvaged Patina. When the two colours overlap there is a beautiful green colour, and there is the third colour.

I used brushes to apply the inks in a circular motion being sure to get good coverage of the colours.
When finished with the stencil colouring, I removed the stencil then splattered the panel using the same distress oxide ink colours.

When starting this card I had already cut the piece to size, being 4.x5.25".
I decided on a Gina K Design Applemint cardbase, which I attached the Birthday panel to using foam tape.

On the inside I used another piece of card where I took a print from the left over inks on my inital stenciling of the cover. Waste not want not, especially these days!
Inside I finished by stamping using the Hampton Art set saying It's your day ... Celebrate using VersaFine Clair ink in Warm Breeze.

This was an easy and fun card to make today. With everything that has gone on it was hard to get myself in the right frame of mind to make a card, but I did.

Sending hugs to all.
