Celebrate

This is "Celebrate".

Celebrate is my card for the Scrap'n Stamp Random Act of Cardness challenges, day 28 with the prompt word being "Celebrate".
We are celebrating Scrap'n Stamp's birthday, and I thought what better way to celebrate than to eat! Cupcakes are the treat for today.

First using Hammermill cardstock I die cut using the largest die from the Paper Rose set. The frame is separate from the middle piece, hence I am using the middle card for my cupcakes.
I stamped the lower three cupcakes using Memento Ink in Tuxedo Black. I then stamped the cupcakes on a Gina K Design masking magic sheets twice, seaparatinig the sheets and covering the middle and right cupcakes. I then stamped the right cupcake background.

I moved one of the sheets from the far right cupcake to the left cupcake, then stamped the background cupcake on the left side, giving me a total of 5 cupcakes.
I then began to colour using Copic markers. To colour the cupcake bottoms I went from the darkest colour to the lightest colour.

 On the bottom from left to right I used the following:Y21, Y35, Y38 and YR07; next is BV01, BV02 and BV04; R20, R22, R24, R29. For the background left side I used B60, B32, B34 and B37; followed on the right by BG10, BG13, BG49.

For the whipping cream I used the lightest colour of the above colours, being Y21, BV01, R20, B60 and *BG01 *(I changed the number from BG10 to BG01).
Using the masking papers, I again covered the cupcakes, and brushed on Tumbled Glass using the Cable Knit stencil. For the bottom I used both the Tumbled Glass and Broken China.

To finish up I glued the frame and middle piece to my card base using Nuvo adhesive. I then stamped the sentiment using VersaFine Clair ink in Fantasica, attaching to the card using foam tape.

For a bit of sparkle I added Nuvo Shimmer pens to the hearts and the stars on the cupcakes.
