Red Merry

I made this card earlier this month for a friend using the Inspiration Challenge for today's IC. I wanted to make sure she had received it before posting, which is why I picked the IC for December 25th.

This is my inspiration for this card. I am using some older dies by Tim Holtz and Penny Black. They are some of my favourites, hence I love the chance to use them when I can.
I used Gina K Design card stock where I stenciled the snowflakes using matte texture paste and the Crafters Companion stencil.

Once the stencil work was dry I die cut the piece using my Penny Black Spirited set of dies, which I just love, then glued the piece to my white card base using Nuvo Adhesive.
I then die cut the large snowflake, once from the white card and another cut from white glitter card. Adding Nuvo adhesive to the bottom snowflake I glued the two together, keeping them offset from one another.

I then attached the large snowflake to my card base using foam squares.
Using the same red card I die cut the merry sentiment x 2, gluing together and attaching to the centre of the snowflake. I then added Nuvo aqua shimmer glitter pen to the merry die cut, adding a bit of sparkle to the card.
Thank you for joining me today.
