Left-Overs

Meet Merry and Bright, a left-over from a previous post.

Do you do this as well, get a new stamp set and use only the stamp which had you hooked and leave the others behind? I do it all the time, yet those left-overs make pretty cards.
These little fellows were already cut out too - so what took me so long to colour them up I ask myself. I used Copic markers for that task and some gelly roll glitter pens.

Using Neenah card for my card base I first stencilled the snowflakes with Salvaged Patina Oxide ink for that soft look.
To Copic colour the Penguins doing basic colouring I used YG09 on the tree, RV29 on the hats, Y08 under the noses, 100 and C7 for the dark on the Penguin, G07 for the green on the hats and C03 for the nose and feet.

I attached the Penguins using foam squares, and stamped the sentiment using Catherine Pooler ink.

My next left-over
I had this stamp set on my desk as I had recently used it. I also had a piece of Dura-Bright cardstock. You may recall this card from a few days ago. For this card I used the same colours of ink, omitting only the Chipped Sapphire.

The snowflake is heat embossed using Nuvo Glacier White. I put down the colour on my work surface, spritzed with a small amount of water and added it to the card. As this is a plastic type surface the the ink sits on the top, hence the differences in the colours and saturation.
I left the piece to dry overnight, then added a bit more of the greens and again left it to dry overnight. Once I had done that I sprayed the piece with Kyron Matte Aerosol.

To finish up I added the panel to a aqua teal card and stamped the sentiment using VersaFine Clair ink, attaching using foam squares.
I hope you have enjoyed my left-over cards today, and that you will use your left over bits too.

Following are Affiliate links for the products I used for these cards, at no extra cost to you. I thank you for your support.
