Grateful

It is time for the Inspiration Challenge at Splitcoaststampers.com and this week we are visiting Janet Hill Studio for our inspiration. I found this scene, (ignored the pumpkins) and as much as I would like to fill up a card with leaves using all those colours, I know I would not like it!

So, I kept my card clean and simple using an old Penny Black stamp set that I will probably always use. There are some stamp sets that in my mind are forever sets, and this is one of those stamp's.Using Fabriano Hot Press watercolour paper I arranged the stamps in my mini Misti and coloured using Tombow markers. I then spritzed the inked stamps with a mixture of Perfect Pearls in Confetti White.

Once the panel piece was dry I added splatters in the red and yellow colours, along with Gouache in White.Once all the paint was dry I attached the panel to my matted card base using foam tape.

I then die cut the Grateful sentiment 3 times in the green cardstock. To darken the top sentiment I coloured it with Copic marker in G07, which darkens the sentiment slightly. To attach the sentiment I glued them together with the darkest on top and glued them to my card front.
I also kept the raw edge of the watercolour paper, keeping it at the bottom of the card front. I think the raw edge adds a lot of texture to the card.

Thank you for visiting today. Following are Affiliate links for the products I used for this card, at no extra expense to you. I thank you very much for your continued support.
