Congratulations!

Good Saturday morning to you.

I was asked for a Wedding card for a wedding that is taking place today. It is a casual wedding, being held on a farm, which sounds wonderful to me. It also meant to me that I could keep my card a bit more casual than formal.
As this would be a Saturday and I am able to look ahead at the Inspiration challenge sites, I decided to use the site that was picked for today, which is a wonderful site called Peruvian Connection.

I picked this dress for my inspiration, using the greens and the brighter pink colour along with the gold colours in the dress..
First I die cut a piece of cardstock using my Paper Rose die to use for my background. I then did some stencil work using A Colorful Life stencil along with Rustic Wilderness distress ink. To some of the areas that had the ink I added Distress Texture Paste in a Matte finish, which adds wonderful texture, and set the panel aside to dry.

Using a piece of  heat resistance acetate I added alcohol ink in Enchanted Pearl and Alchemy Pearl in the centre, which mixed with the pink adding a beautiful touch of orange. I then die cut the flower in white cardstock, and die cut the alcohol ink piece using the same flower die.
I did not want to damage the alcohol ink, so I turned the piece over and in my mini Misti I stamped the flower using watermark ink and gold embossing powder, then dried with my heat gun. This in turn completely dried the alcohol ink too. I then glued the acetate flower to the white card flower.

Using the white card again I die cut the My Favorite Things Focus Florals. I also stamped the Congratulations in my mini Misti and heat embossed using the gold embossing powder.
To put it all together I attached the stenciled card panel using foam tape. I then glued the Focus Florals in place and attached the flower using foam squares and added the sentiment with glue.

I did not take a picture, but for the inside of the card I did the stencil work again, making the ink slightly lighter and added one of the die cut Focus Florals along with a congratulatory sentiment done using the gold embossing powder.

I really enjoyed making this card and I hope you have enjoyed it as well.
Thank you for visiting.
