Chickie Face

I cannot get enough of this adorable stamp set and decided I would use it again today for my Random Act of Cardness day on Feathers.

To start out this card I die cut a panel using my Paper Rose die and attached it to my card base using glue. In my mini Misti I then stamped the bird and the branch using Memento Ink and die cut using my Gemini Jr. with the coordinating dies along with the circle Spellbinder die. But wait, more die cutting, using the dies from My Favorite Things in white cardstock.

Now to use the pieces I cut. I first made a small puddle using Distress ink in Squeezed Lemonade and pounced my card in the mixture, setting it aside to dry.

To colour the bird I used Copic markers in Y18, YR09 and Y35. I then styled the bird and set him aside.
On the circle die piece I stenciled using a feather stencil that has small feathers using the Squeezed Lemonade Distress Ink.

Putting it together I glued the leaf branches to the card using Lawn Fawn glue. I then attached the circle die using foam squares and the bird and branch to the small circle again using foam squares.
I have two of the Impression Obsession "I miss your face" stamps as I wanted to cut one in half, which is this one. Even with my Misti I still messed up, with the top sentiment slipping because I did not attach it to the lid properly, hence crooked!

So, I stamped it again on a separate piece of card again using the Memento Ink and attached this one using foam squares to give dimension and a different look than the bottom sentiment.
To finish up I added a few gems in the yellow around the card. I also spritzed the card lightly with a mixture of Perfect Pearls and water. This has become a habit for me of late.

I thank you for dropping by and hope you have enjoyed this little one. Following are Affiliate links for the products that I used for this card, at no extra cost to you.
