It is Friday and that means it is time for the Inspiration Challenge. I am hosting this week's challenge and have picked the Pinterest Boards of Society Social.
I picked this for my inspiration today.
For my background I am using Arches cold press watercolour paper which I die cut using my Paper Rose Pierced Rectangle die.
I then made a puddle of Abandoned Coral Distress ink and pounced the card in the mixture, turning as required. I dried the piece, and did a second layer to get some differences in colours.
I then did the same thing using Rustic Wilderness Distress ink for my leaf die cut by Penny Black, adding a second layer of colour with my paint brush to get some variation.
As I did not have cardstock to match the Rustic Wilderness, I made the matting by sponging on the Rustic Wilderness to white cardstock, sponging only around the edges.
For the sentiment I die cut the word 3 times and glued them together.
To finish up the card I attached the green matting to the Coral card base, then attached the distress ink panel. I glued on the leaf, then added splatters using the abandoned coral ink and No Bleed white ink.
I then glued on the sentiment, and added gems and sequins from Studio Katia.
I did not know where this card would lead when I started, but I like the end result, and hope you do as well.
