Just Because

Just because, my card for the Inspiration Challenge at Splitcoaststampers. We visited a very interesting site called Design Stack where I saw this garden, which had so much interest, and I loved the colours.

In using my Geometric Circle die my thought process was the interest found in the windows along with the circles found on the end wall where the door is. The pink background represents the flowers, and the leaf die represents the greenery.

The smooshing was done using the new Kitsch Flamingo Distress ink on the front of my card base. I set it aside to dry and die cut the other items all in white card.

I made two other puddles of ink and water, the first being the new Rustic Wilderness and the second being Twisted Citron. I first dragged the leaf die cut through the Rustic Wilderness a few times, dried with my heat gun, then dragged it through the Twisted Citron.

For interest I removed the leaf centre on all but one of the leaves, and glued the others together so they would not fall out.

I glued the geometric circles to my card front using Nuvo adhesive, then attached the leaf using foam squares that I cut into 3 thin pieces each, keeping them hidden from view.

For the sentiment I coloured using a couple layers of RV14 Copic marker, then using the thin foam pieces attached the sentiment to the card. I added a pale pink pearl as the dot for the "j", and coloured it with the same marker colour.

I then cut a butterfly from the Butterfly String and coloured it using several layers of Copic R32, which gave me the darker colour which worked well with my card.

I finished my card with a scattering of iridescent sequins.
