I Miss You

This beautiful image is from Impression Obsession April release and I cannot get enough of it. When I did my card using this stamp for the release I coloured it using Copic markers. Today I have water coloured using two Tombow markers.

First using Fabriano Hot Press water colour paper and in my mini Misti I coloured the stamp using the two markers and colouring as required. I then misted the stamp lightly and stamped the image.

To continue, on my work surface I put down the inks from the two markers and proceeded to watercolour until I was happy. I knew I would need to add further layers for richer colours, so I let the piece dry between applications of the colour.

When painting the leaves I added in some of the turquoise to the leaves and added colour to the veins to ensure they would stand out. I then added splatters of both colours to the finished piece along with a bit of Midas Touch Shimmering Pen.

To complete the card I die cut the piece of watercolour paper using the Impression Obsession die, then die cut another piece using the same die in the turquoise card and gluing them together.

For my base I am using Gina K Design Ivory card base. I added splatters using the two marker colours to the card then attached the panel using foam tape.

I finished by stamping the sentiment using Ranger archival ink. I used the "I miss your face" stamp covering from the r in your to the end of the stamp when inking which gave me "I miss you" for my sentiment.

Above is a close up of the image which shows the Midas Touch splatters better.
