Flower Bundle

I have made this card for the Inspiration Challenge at Splitcoaststampers this week where we had a visit to Zabana Jewellery. Their Pinterest page is full of wonderful colours and I picked this pin for my inspiration.

This set is one of the stamps from the latest release from Penny Black. It has been quite awhile since I have bought anything Hedgie related, and I love this set with all the fun images.

The die is from Impression Obsession, and yes, I love it too and I think it looks cute with the Hedgie in the centre, propped up with foam squares.

Using VersaFine Clair ink in Nocturne and my mini Misti I stamped the image on Arches Cold Press 140lb. watercolour paper and proceeded to watercolour using Daniel Smith watercolours.

For the flowers I used Opera Pink and Rhodonite Genuine. The leaves are done using Cascade Green and Jadeite Genuine. On the Hedgie I used Raw Sienna on his body along with Raw Sienna and Burnt Umber with an underpainting of Jane's Grey on his spines. For the flower wrap I used Phthalo Green Blue Shade, and Quinacridone Gold for the bow.

Using my Gemini I die cut the Heart Window Set using Neenah Classic Crest card. I coloured along the perforations using Copic Markers in Y08 and Y18. I then cut the Hedgie out.

Using foam tape I attached the white panel to the hot pink card using foam tape, which is half an inch wide, so gives good support. I then attached the Hedgie using smaller foam squares.

In my mini Misti I placed the card to stamp the sentiment using the Nocturne Ink.

To finish up I added a few gumdrops with sparkle.

I really like how this turned out. The Hedgie makes me smile, as does the sun beaming from the heart. I hope you have enjoyed this card as well, and I thank you for your visit.
