Foxy Sweater

This has been a difficult and sad week for many. I know my friends and fellow Canadians want to send a big hug to our American family.

Something that always brings a smile to my face is the Inspiration Challenge at Splitcoaststampers. I am hostess for this week's challenge and I would like participants to visit a Canadian site which is well known here in Canada called Canadian Living.

Here you can find the magazine Canadian Living, and here Canadian Living Pinterest. My inspiration piece is here.

I took my inspiration piece and used the dark background, the orange and the red/brown colour in her hair.

I used Distress Ink in Black Soot for my background, laying down the colour on my work surface, spritzing with water and pouncing my cardstock in it. I then stamped my Fox on Hammermill cardstock  using Memento Ink and coloured using Copic Markers.

For the fox I used E51, YR24, E23, E37, R27 and E99 with YR02, YR68 and YR07 for the sweater.

I attached my background piece to a Gina K Design card base in Coral. I added some splatters using Daniel Smith watercolour in Transparent Pyrrol Orange.

I then fussy cut the fox and attached him using foam squares. For the sentiment, I stamped using Ranger Archival ink in Monarch Orange and attached again using foam squares, and finished with some Crystal Drops using Morning Dew.

I hope you have enjoyed today's card.
