Abstract Loose Florals

I am a happy camper as it is Watercolour Wednesday at Splitcoaststampers. Our challenge this week is to watercolour this loose abstract floral. Our reference is this video.

Unfortunately it was an overcast day today, so my pictures are not the best. Instead of using the blue alone for the flowers, I decided to use pale grey for a white flower, pyrrol scarlet and chromium cerulean blue.

I first wet the entire page, then dropped in the colour for each flower and spread slightly, letting the water do most of the work. Once dry I applied a second layer to get deeper colours.

Using the green apatite genuine I painted the stems and added the small leaves.

For my white flower I used Buff Titanium mixed with Jane's Grey, painting the flower then added in Quinacridone Rose. The blue flower is done using the Cerulean Blue Chrome. For the flower centre's I used Jane's Grey.

This was certainly a quick and fun card to make for the challenge today.  I would like to do another I think using different colours.

Thank you for joining me today. Following are Affiliate links for the products that I used for this card today, at no extra cost for you.
