This card is not what I had in mind when I started to make it. I started by stamping on cardstock with VersaFine Clair Nocturne Ink. oops, can't watercolour on cardstock. And using Copics with VersaFine Clair Ink is not a good choice either. So, I had to be very careful while colouring.
As I wanted to do some sponging around the trees I also stamped the image on copy paper and fussy cut to use for the mask. I picked Distress Oxide Speckled Egg to sponge on for my background colour, which was not the best choice given I was using fall colours. But, to make it work I painted on some Nuvo Aqua Shimmer Glitter Pen. There is a bit of sparkle but it is not overpowering and lightened the blue
When colouring I was using dots of colour when near the black, and as this is a one layer card I did not saturate with layers of colour, but I did end up using markers that were rich in pigment as follows:
E23, YG06, YG07, YG17, Y08, Y17, Y18, Y38, YR04, R05 and V15.
Once I finished the colouring I placed the card in my mini Misti and stamped the sentiment from Taylored Expressions using VersaFine Clair ink in Tulip Red. It just fit in that space - yay! I then added some Nuvo Drops to finish.
