Hello all. Seems I am back where I started after a year of what I can only term as a Nightmare. All I wanted was bigger pictures, seems there are 100s of constraints to that on a hosted plan and I cannot recommend hosted plans to anyone.
As I had already posted this card to my blog, and the host suddenly took my blog offline, I left Hostpapa and will continue back where I started. It will probably take me awhile to get my blog back, but so be it.
This card came about from me daydreaming and watching a video that was on Lets Make Art, and it represents our Planet. The earth is where I used a technique, called Dappled Watercolour, which is part of the Watercolour Wednesday challenge at Splitcoaststampers today. I painted my earth with Daniels Smith watercolours and added in Quinacridone Gold and Nuvo Shimmer Pen Midas Touch.
The water represents our Oceans. I used Crayon, which resists the water and paint, making the foam at a beach, and once painted I painted the crayon with white paint.
The Trees represent so many things, but to me they are Mystical both in size and what they represent. To represent the trees I used my Picket Fence stamp and applied my watercolour to the stamp before stamping, doing this several times to achieve good coverage.
