Today's card inspiration comes from participating in the CAS Mix Up Card Challenge April 2020 which calls for Bleaching along with Stamping and Our Choice. I have Bleached, Stamped and Die Cut and will enter this card in the challenge.

Using Fabriano Hot Press watercolour paper I first did my background using Color Burst powders in Chartruese and Turquoise. I taped the paper down as I would be using a lot of water for this which gives me a lot of movement.

After drying the piece I stamped using VersaFine Clair in Nocturne, then heat embossed with VersaMark Embossing ink and clear embossing powder. *When doing this technique only use clear embossing powders as the bleach will break down coloured embossing powders.

Using my water brush that I have marked and filled with bleach I proceeded to colour the bird, removing the background colour. I then water coloured the bird with Nuvo Aqua Flow Pen in Aqua Splash watered down, which made a light turquoise colour. Once dry I then added a layer of Nuvo Shimmering Pen in Midas Touch which adds a beautiful shimmer to the bird. I then die cut the piece using my Hemstitch die.

On my card base I stamped the bird using VersaFine Clair Ink first in Paradise (Blue) then stamped again using Green Oasis. I then did splatters to the card base again using my Aqua Flow Pens in Azure Blue from Winter Skies set and Evergreen Fern from Autumn Woodland set.

I attached the die cut to a piece of fun foam and then to my card base using Nuvo Adhesive.

I did not add a sentiment as I am not sure what I will use the card for, but chances are good that the sentiment will go inside anyway as I don't think I want anything else on the outside of the card.

Thank you for joining me today. Following are Affiliate links for the products that I used for this card, at no extra cost to you.
