Happy Hugs

I am joining in with two challenges today, the first being the Inspiration Challenge at Splitcoaststampers, and the second being a Facebook Challenge that anyone can join called Art Nudge.

As most of you would be aware every Saturday without fail I participate in the Inspiration Challenge held at Splitcoast. The reason is simple, the inspiration I find on Saturday mornings continues throughout the following weeks of my card making.

Today we went to a photography web site called Unsplash. Inspiration overload! I picked this photograph for inspiration.

And the Inspiration for Art Nudge is:

I changed my colours a bit from the Art Nudge Challenge, but it is a Inspiration Challenge, so it is allowed.

First I die cut a piece of Yupo paper using Stitched Stackers by Penny Black. I then did the Alcohol Ink background using Alcohol Pearl inks in Tranquil and Intrigue along with Blending Solution and set it aside to dry.

In my mini Misti I then stamped the images by Penny Black called Happy Hugs using Memento Ink in Tuxedo Black. To colour I used Copic Markers. For the Blue Bird I used B000, B00 and B12; and for the pink birds and heart I used RV11, RV13, and RV14. On the beak and toes I used YR09.

I die cut the Frame which is from Impression Obsession using white card stock, which is the same paper I used for my base. Also on a trimmed piece of white card stock in my mini Misti I stamped the sentiment using VersaFine Clair ink in Glamorous.

To put it all together I glued the background to my card base, added the smallest frame using foam squares, and glued the larger of the frames to the base. The birds are also attached with foam squares and glue for the balloon and sentiment strip.

Finishing Touches I used Nuvo Glitter Gloss on the eyes of all the birds along with the heart balloon.

That finishes this card for today. I hope you enjoy this and wish to thank you for joining me.
