Happy Daffodils

Happy Daffodils.

When I do get out for my walk around the neighbourhood I see the Daff's popping up everywhere, sometimes even places they were not intended.

When I saw this stamp from Penny Black it reminded me of days in the past when I used to plant my bulbs in containers, sometimes the large coffee tins with drilled holes in the bottom, so I had to have it.

I first did my background with a stencil from A Colorful Life Design called Wispy Vines and Opaque Texture Paste. Once dry I went over most of the embossed area with Distress Ink in Squeezed Lemonade.
Next I stamped the image using Memento Ink in Tuxedo Black. I then coloured using my Copic Markers as follows, which is also the order I applied the ink in. A reminder when I colour I start with my first colour and go to the final colour, then go back down to the first colour.

Leaves: YG00, YG03, YG17, G46; Flowers Y13, Y17, Y18, YR07, YR09, YR18, Y38, and shaded with BV01; Heart and Hugs die R12, R22, R14, R24; Tin BG11, BG23, BG34; Edging B000.
To finish I cut the image out using my Scan'n Cut as there is not a matching die for this stamp, styled and added to my card base using foam squares. The sentiment is die cut 3 times, coloured with Copics and glued together using Nuvo Adhesive. I used the adhesive to attach the left side to the tin and the right side is propped up with a foam square.

I hope you enjoy this card today and wish to thank you for visiting my blog. I would love it if you subscribed. Following are Affiliate Links for the products that I used for this card, at no extra cost to you.
