Heart Notes

A musically themed card today is my sample for the Clean and Simple Challenge at Splitcoaststampers.
I had this paper in my digital paper prints from some time ago, but it ended up being perfect for today's challenge. It was a bit bright so I distressed it using Distress Inks in Antique Linen, Old Paper and Walnut Stain inks.
Too much dark colours is not my thing, so I matted the heart with another die cut piece in a pale pink card stock. I then stamped the sentiment on the card base using Ranger Archival Ink in Sepia, then attached the heart in place and stamped the sentiment across the heart.
It has been ages since I have used sequins, but this card called out for them, so I attached a few in copper and brown shades.
I finished the inside with another piece of the musical paper, again matting with the pale pink. I also did distressing on this piece. Once I know what I will use the card for I will stamp something on the inside.

Many thanks for visiting today.

  1. This is such a sweet note card with the layered hearts, and how wonderful you had the perfect digi with the sheet music images on hand. The sequins really do finish off the card beautifully.
