Warm Wishes

This is a sample card I made for our Clean and Simple Challenge at Splitcoaststampers about our changing weather. I picked Autumn for my card, as this is my favourite time of the year. I love the colours of Autumn, and yes, the cooler weather.

I started my panel by die cutting with my wonky rectangle die, as there is nothing worse than doing it after I have the ink on my panel. I then proceeded to use distress oxide inks for my background, using fossilized amber, bundled sage, spiced marmalade, ripe persimmon and candied apple.
Once I was happy with my sponging, I sprinkled my panel with water droplets. I then stamped the trees using Ranger Archival inks in coffee and sepia.

To finish I attached my panel to a dark brown card base, then stamped my sentiment using Ranger Archival vermillion ink.

Thank you for visiting my blog today. You can find the products used below.

  1. Gorgeous Warm Autumn sponged colors, Kia for your beautiful card. I love how you did just a minimal bit of stamping with your trees so your beautiful background did not get covered up. TFS Hugs...

  2. Your Distress Oxide Ink sponging is simply gorgeous, Kia! I can tell your love of fall colors by looking at this beautiful card. The water droplets are the perfect finishing touch! Hideko xx
