Happy Bird-Day

I am hosting the Clean and Simple Challenge this week at Splitcoaststampers, and my challenge is called "Things with Wings".
Of course, being a bird owner, I have done birds, but there are all kinds of things with wings, so I will be interested to see what we get.
I started my card by die cutting a panel with my wonky die then stamping the balloons on the panel with VersaMark embossing ink,  and heat embossing with Recollections Opaque Sparkle Vintage Pink embossing powder.  The birds I am using come from the latest release at Your Next Stamp, and they are called Happy Bird-Day, as shown here.
I used 3 of the bird stamps, the balloons and the cute sentiment for my card. I stamped on Ranger Distress Watercolour paper and stamped using Ranger Archival Jet Black ink then did some water colouring on the birds using Daniel Smith's Lemon Yellow.  To put it all together, I stamped the sentiment on the panel, then attached the panel using foam tape. I cut off the feet of each of the birds as I wanted them riding up with the balloon, then styled each bird and attached using a thin foam tape. I added a bit of Wink of Stella to each eye, including the closed one.
This picture shows the sparkle of the balloons and the Wink of Stella a bit more.
I hope you enjoy this card and would like to thank you for visiting my blog today.
