Spring tulips up today. I did this card a few days ago and failed to post it here.
These pretty tulips are by Altenew's set called Best Buds. I have used one of the floral images from this set, but this is the first time I have inked up the tulips.
I started with my background by doing a watercolour wash. I used my heat gun to dry the layers in between adding the colours. Once dry I die cut the piece with Frantic Stamper's deckled rectangle die and attached to my card base using fun foam.
I painted the tulips using my Zig brushes in pink, yellow and orange, along with light green for the stems, adding deeper shades of each colour as I went. Once all was dry I die cut the pieces, styled and attached to my panel on foam dots. As so often happens when I am making a card, I don't decide on the placement of my sentiment until the end, which is yet another reason for loving my Misti. I placed my card in my Mini Misti and arranged my sentiment stamp where I liked it, using Ranger cobalt blue ink to stamp. I also added a few raindrops from another spring set I have. Inside the raindrops I added Nuvo Jewel drops in clear.
