Tweet, Tweet

These really sweet birds were so fun to paint. Does it show I just love this set?

I started this card by doing a colour burst background using the greens and yellows on watercolour paper. I then die cut the top panel, and the frame for the circle using both my stitched rectangle dies and stitched circle dies, then attached everything in place to my card base with the top panel attached with foam tape. In my Misti, I arranged all the stamps and inked them up according to what they were, i.e. the branches in brown, the leaves in green etc. The birds I stamped in black. I then ran the sheet of stamped images through my ScanNCut without a border.

I wanted my birds bright to work nicely with my background so I used yellows and light and dark carmine. From the splatter left on my work mat, I picked up more of the background colour and painted the leaves, adding in a bit of green. I painted the tiny flowers in pink, orange and light carmine and added a bit of Wink of Stella to their centres. Before attaching anything to my card I splattered everything with acrylic paint in blue, covering the base card. I then styled the birds and attached on the branches with foam dots, then added in the tiny flowers and stamped the hearts. In between the splatters I stamped the "tweet" twice from one of the sentiments.

Thanks so much for visiting my blog today. I hope you enjoy this card as much as I enjoyed making it.
