Let It Snow!

Let It Snow!

I love this large "funky snowflake" and thought it might look great done in the negative. But as I was die cutting it and poking the snowflakes out I changed my mind and decided to use the positive, and I love the results.

I started by sponging on the colours of my background using distress oxide inks. I then flicked water from my paint brush getting some large and small water marks. To get some sparkle I lightly pounced my background with VersaMark embossing ink, then sprinkled on some embossing powder and heat set. This is a close up of the background.
Once the embossing was finished I laid out the negative of the snowflakes and placed in the positive snowflakes to glue down. The main full snowflake I die cut from white glitter cardstock and attached on foam dots. I die cut the Joy sentiment and sponged it with the faded jeans ink before gluing it to the centre of the snowflake. To finish I added a few dew drops.

I hope you enjoy this card and thank you for visiting my blog.
