Balloon Birthday

Balloons anyone! I hosted the Clean and Simple challenge on Monday and this is my sample card.

It was my birthday Saturday past, and Canada
is celebrating our 150th Anniversary of Canadian Confederation and, the US will be celebrating their 4th of July, so to celebrate
I decided on balloons.

For my card I stencilled the circles using my Clarity brushes, gradually fading out the circles. I die cut 2 balloons in
vellum and brushed on the colours,
added the twine and attached on foam dots.
For my sentiment, I heat embossed my sentiment using
gold embossing powder and die cut it with
the stitched rectangles and used vellum tape to attach to
the card base. And to finish, a scattering of
sequins completes my card.

I have missed posting to my blog. I have been
knee deep in painting my place. What a job, but
what a difference too. I am loving my colours
making such a happy place to create.

Thanks for visiting, I will see you next time.

  1. Simply beautiful, Kia. Love your stenciled circles using your Clarity brushes..such a beautiful fade out effect. Vellum tape? I have not seen that used before. Can you get it anywhere? I am off to check out your challenge. TFS my friend. Hugs...

  2. the orange makes for such a fun card how the stenciling fades off to the one side...great card mf.
