Sunshine Butterfly

Hello Sunshine! I am playing with the Inspiration Challenge today at Splitcoaststampers where we visited a beautiful blog called Sew Paper Paint. Autumn, the owner of the blog, does mostly mixed media, which is not my thing, but it did not stop me from finding inspiration. I picked this card for my inspiration. Instead of using designer paper, I did some stencilling and dry embossing. I stencilled my card base using a Donna Downey stencil and some Tim Holtz Distress Inks. For the oval, I used a deckled oval die cut that I dry embossed and sponged with the citrus ink. For a bit of dimension I attached it with foam strips. I then stamped and watercoloured my butterfly using the picked raspberry ink and once dry sprayed with Perfect Pearls. Again, once dry, I styled the butterfly and attached with foam dots. I added a few Sprinkles and Nuvo Jewel Drops along with the little sentiment, stamped in the picked raspberry and heat embossed using clear embossing powder, then die cut with the banner tag.
I hope you enjoy Sunshine Butterfly, and thank you for visiting.
