A Summer Rose

Hello all. I am back today to share a card I did for
Art Neko Stamps.
As most of you know, I love clean and simple design, and I also like bold colours. But today I went for the light and airy look, keeping my colours a little more subdued, but adding a punch with the sparkle and gold embossing powder.
To start I stamped using the leaf background stamp inking in a citrus green colour and trimmed the panel to the edge of the stamp outline. I then die cut a piece of vellum using my stitched rectangles and attached the leaf panel to the vellum. I stamped the rose stamp using gold embossing powder, and fussy cut one of the flowers out, which I watercoloured with Zig brushes in lemon yellow, with the leaves done in the same citrus green. I styled the rose before attaching to the panel on a foam dot, then attached the panel to my card base using foam strips. To finished I heat embossed the summer sentiment in gold embossing powder and added a few sequins for a bit more sparkle. Even with the gold, the card remains light and has that airy feel. I hope you enjoy this card, and thank you for visiting.
