This bright and happy card I did for the Inspiration Challenge at Splitcoaststampers. It has been such ugly weather this neck of the woods so I wanted some brightness added to my world. The challenge was to pick a colour combination and design our card around it. I picked Sunny Citrus for my inspiration and have a picture of my inspiration below. I started by embossing my background with a polka dot embossing folder. I then arranged vellum circles in the colours from my inspiration. For my butterfly I ran out of the ice colour glitter paper, so I had to use a bright gold. To change the colour I first heat embossed my butterfly on the glitter paper using white embossing powder. I then coloured with the orange ranges of markers and then used the blending pen to bring out the white embossing lines. To finish I added the circle Smile sentiment along with some sequins and crystals ... and then I smiled. Thanks for having a look.
