It has been a very busy couple of weeks. The Dirty Girl Alumni put on a massive challenge for newcomers, doing 5 - 6 challenges per day for 7 days. This is one of the cards I did, the challenge was to use a product called Perfect Pearls and water to make a background. Like in so many situation, when you don't have a product, improvise - and that is what I did. I used Viva Decor Inka Gold Lavared. The best way to explain Viva Decor is to compare it to floor wax, only this has colour. I dug some out and dropped it into a small spritzer and mixed with a small amount of water. Shake it good like a cocktail ... and a magical ink is made! I first did my background using TH Distress Paints and water, sprayed on a white linen paint for the dots, then sprayed the back of a stencil with the Viva Decor I made and put it down on my background. This is what I got. The stencil has the heart shapes you can see. I added my faves, sequins and a Heart Flower Die that I double and styled. A sentiment and twine to finish. This was so much fun to make - something I want to try again. I will load more of the cards I made for the challenges in the next week.
