Snow Day

Introducing "Snow Day".

This is my card for the Inspiration Challenge at Splitcoaststampers.com. This week we went to the website of Annie Selke. My inspiration came from this room, taking the red and white and the dark furniture.
To start this card I am using a stencil from A Colorful Life Designs latest release called Fetching Snowflake Stencil, which I attached to my Neenah cardbase using Pixie Spray.

For my background I used distress oxide inks in Ripe Persimmon, Candied Apple, Fired Brick and Black Soot. I started with Ripe Persimmon on the design circling the centre of the stencil, then went to Fired Brick.

I finished with Candied Apple in the centre of the design. As I wanted deeper colours, I did a second application of the colours.

In my mini Misti I stamped the sentiment using VersaFine Clair ink in Nocturne. I added a Merry Christmas sentiment on the inside of the card where I had also attached a piece of cardstock being 5.25x4.0.

This is such an easy card to make quickly. I spoil myself in that I have domed foam applicators for each colour of ink, along with each brand of ink. It makes applying the inks a very quick job, as I also have 8 ink blending tools.

I do find I am not replacing the domes nearly as much as I previously did, which I know is hard to believe. The foam lasts much longer, and that probably has to do with the constant cleaning, which I don't do anymore, instead wiping the foam with a dry piece of paper towel if needed.
Thank you so much for joining me today, I appreciate it very much.

See you next time.
