Hello Deer is my card for today. I have been wanting to colour up this adorable image for awhile now, and with today's Inspiration Challenge came my chance.
We are visiting The Stationery Studio today, and when I saw this thank you note I jumped in.
In my mini Misti I stamped the image using Memento Ink in Tuxedo Black. I then die cut the piece using my pierced rectangle die.
To colour I used Copic markers keeping with mostly fall colours. On the flowers I used from left to right, Y18 and Y38; YR65 and YR68; BV02 and BV13; B24; The ears in R20; Berries R29; Deer E35 E37 and E99; with the leaves in G14 and G05. To finish I used Y08 to go around the entire image.
I cut a strip of white card and stamped the sentiment using the Delicata Golden Glitz ink, and glued the piece in place towards the bottom of the card. I then glued the card to the card base to finish.
The image is so fun that I could not help but smile while I coloured. During the process my bird CC came to visit and promptly bit into the card base at the top left. ACK - go away! Never a dull moment with a bird.
